Because modern laboratories are energy-intensive, SANYO has developed a corporte-wide energy savings and environmental impact approach to new product development. The VIP® Series freezers offer significant benefits through a balance of refrigeration power, cabinet construction and intelligent control over all funtions.

| 2" Box Capacity based on the amount of 2" boxes in standard racks that can be stored in an ultra low freezer. SANYO freezers maximize your available space at a reduced footprint for maximized high density storage. | Cost is an average for operating freezer including cost to remove heat from the room generated by the freezer. SANYO freezers emit less heat into the laboratory, minimizing air conditioning costs. | |
Operational Cost Analysis
The superior energy efficiency of SANYO VIP® Series Ultra-Low Freezers leads to significant annual cost savings. Lower kW usage combined with lower heat rejection leads to savings on freezer operation costs plus associated HVAC costs to remove heat from the room generated by the freezer.
With an industry-leading capacity of up to 576 2" boxes, the energy-saving advantages of this efficient SANYO system extend to lower per-unit storage costs regardless of the preferred inventory configuration.
The concept of High Density Storage is enabled by advances in SANYO Cool Safe compressor design. The cost per 2" box of interior storage space is significantly lower in a SANYO ultra-low freezer, generating immediate return on investment based on first costs, operating costs and maintenance costs over time.
Cost calculated is an average for operating freezer including cost to remove heat from the room generated by the freezer. Total annual operating cost for operation and cooling, assuming average price (9.93 cents/kWhr) ending March 2011 for all sectors. See http://www.eia.gov/cneaf/electricity/epm/epm_sum.html
