SANYO Introduces New Ultra-low Temperature (ULT) Conventionally Insulated Laboratory Freezers with Improved Energy Efficiency

06/23/2006

(Bensenville, Illinois, USA; Osaka, Japan) SANYO Commercial Solutions, SANYO Biomedical division, has introduced a new line of lab specific, energy efficient and conventionally insulated freezers that are ideally suited for use in laboratories and hospitals for long-term preservation and storage of research samples, blood, specimens and
components, as well as materials testing. The new product line promotes cost efficient energy consumption and
lower heat dissipation which supports SANYO's “Think GAIA” vision to provide sustainable products that benefit our
environment and are ecologically stable. Marketed as the SANYO MDF-Series ultra-low temperature freezers, the
product line includes both 23.5 cu.ft. (MDF-U7386SC) and 17.1 cu.ft. (MDF-U5386SC) models with two insulated
inner doors for maximum interior chamber uniformity. MDF-Series ultra-low temperature freezers maintain internal
temperatures as low as -86° (-123°F). All models use SANYO designed compressors specifically for ultra-low
temperature applications while providing economical advantages for air handling in facilities that manage heat load
produced by freezers.

The MDF-Series ultra-low temperature freezers is directed toward customers that require high performance and
reliability with energy efficient design, along with a robust cabinet construction, full-feature laboratory conveniences,
and sophisticated operating systems.
