Bensenville, IL – SANYO Sales and Marketing, SANYO Electric Co., Ltd., Osaka, Japan, has announced the promotion of Toshiaki Inoue from Vice President to President, SANYO Sales and Supply, Co., Inc., Bensenville, IL.

Mr. Inoue will be responsible for SANYO Sales and Supply businesses in North America, including SANYO biomedical laboratory equipment for hospital, research, life science and industrial markets, automated pharmacy and tablet counting systems, SANYO manufactured refrigeration compressors, appliance components and printed circuit boards.

Mr. Inoue joined SANYO following his graduation from Waseda University, Japan, in 1976. He has served SANYO in various capacities with increasing responsibilities in Osaka, Montreal, Toronto and Chicago. He earned his MBA from Boston University in 1991.

In a statement Mr. Inoue said “We are focusing SANYO efforts on our core competencies aimed at key markets offering the most growth potential in biomedical, pharmaceutical, clinical and life science laboratories, and value-added products and services for OEM manufacturers using SANYO component technologies.
